Privacy policy

This policy explains how MyLagnesh Studio (“MyLagnesh Studio”, “we”, “us”), available at mylagnesh.com, handles personal data. We are based in India and follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Questions or requests: support@mylagnesh.com.
The short version
- All astrology calculations run on your own device.
- Without an account, your chart stays in your browser — we never receive it.
- With an account, your profile and charts are stored privately so they can sync between your devices.
- No ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and we never sell your data.
- You can export or delete everything yourself at any time.
What we collect
If you use the app without an account
The chart you enter and your settings are saved only in your browser’s storage on your device. We do not receive them. To read the app’s configuration (such as how many charts a guest can save), your browser contacts Google Firebase, which assigns a random installation identifier to the app on your device.
If you create an account

Your location (only if you choose)
If you click “Use my location”, your browser asks for your permission and then gives the app your approximate position. The app matches it to the nearest city on your device and saves it as your home location (rounded to about 10 metres). While permission stays on, the app re-checks it once per visit so times stay correct when you travel. If you have an account, the home location syncs with your settings. You can withdraw permission in your browser at any time, or choose a city by hand in Settings.
Charts of other people
If you enter someone else’s birth details (for example for Kundali Milan), please make sure you have their permission. Charts of children may be entered by a parent or guardian.
Technical data
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: store your charts, profile and settings and sync them between your devices.
- To sign you in, verify your email address and keep your account secure.
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To keep the service working and prevent abuse.
We process account data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account, and for the purposes needed to provide the service you asked for.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We use these service providers to run MyLagnesh Studio:
- Google Firebase — Authentication (sign-in), Cloud Firestore (database), Hosting (the website) and Remote Config (app settings).
- Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — only if you use the online place search when entering a birth place: the text you type is sent to their service. The built-in city list works without it.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal order.
Where it is stored
Your profile, charts and settings are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in Mumbai, India. Sign-in and website hosting run on Google’s global infrastructure and may be processed outside India, under Google’s security and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
- Account data is kept while your account exists.
- When you delete your account, your profile, charts and settings are removed from our database straight away, and your sign-in account is deleted. Copies may remain briefly in our providers’ systems before they are overwritten.
- Data kept in your browser (guest mode, offline copies) stays until you clear it or sign out.
Your rights and choices
- Access and export: Profile & Account → “Export my data” downloads your charts, settings and profile.
- Correction: edit your profile and charts in the app at any time.
- Deletion: Profile & Account → “Delete account” removes your account and all its data.
- Withdraw consent: delete your account, or turn off location permission in your browser.
- Nominate: you may nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity — write to us.
For anything else, or if you can’t use the in-app options, email support@mylagnesh.com from your account’s email address with “Privacy” in the subject. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
MyLagnesh Studio accounts are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children through accounts; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database access rules allow each account to read and write only its own data, and email accounts must be verified first. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. For significant changes we will tell account holders in the app or by email before they take effect.
